GROWING IN FAITH

 

Sunday School at Bow Mills United Methodist Church is a spiritual adventure every week for preschoolers to adults! We teach our children the stories of the Bible so that they can know of God's love for them and the world, and so they can grow as adults toward a more mature Christian faith, paying attention to how God wants them to live. We offer our adults the opportunity to continue the journey of spiritual formation through Sunday School classes and small group studies.

 

SOWERS OF THE SEEDS-ADULT SPIRITUAL GROWTH

The adults explore a variety of topics over the course of the year, engaging in Biblical studies, spiritual formation studies, and topics of concern to growing Christians. The classes are taught both by lay and clergy, and are open to everyone.

 

CONNECTIONAL SMALL GROUPS
Bow Mills UMC has a number of ongoing study groups for our adult members to stay connected not just on Sunday mornings, but throughout the week. Groups offer a more intimate setting for deeper spiritual growth, connection, mission, service and action

 

CHILDREN & YOUTH MINISTRY

Our program is a multidisciplined curriculum involving bible study, games and play, storytelling through skits and drama, arts and crafts, cooking in the kitchen, and mission. We encourage our children, no matter the age, to make their faith ACTIVE!

 

YOUTH GROUP • UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) Informal group with junior and senior high youth members. Youth meet with leaders to share topics of today's concerns through scripture, books, and hands-on activities, shared events with other local youth groups, plan mission projects and mission trips, ultimately learning about growing in their faith.
